Description:

CDFW will provide funding to implement the cleanup and remediation of illicit cannabis cultivation impacts on qualified public lands.

CDFW will provide funding to implement the cleanup and remediation of illicit cannabis cultivation impacts on qualified public lands. Qualified public land includes land owned in fee simple title and managed by a federal, state, local government, or institution, or California Native American tribal government. It also includes land held by the United States in trust for a California Native American tribe.

Cleanup and remediation proposals should focus on the severe impacts of illicit cannabis operations. This includes, but is not limited to: unlawful water diversions for irrigation, conversion of lands, poaching, and use of prohibited herbicides, rodenticides, and other environmental contaminants that are severely impacting California's fish and wildlife.

Nonprofit, Public Agency, Tribal Government

Eligibility under this Solicitation is defined by Fish and Game Code Section ยง1501.5(b). Eligible entities include: federal, state, and local public agencies and institutions within California; nonprofit organizations qualified to do business in California and qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of Title 26 of the United States Code; and California Native American tribes as defined in the Public Resources Code section 21073.
