The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) launched a Request for Information (RFI) to solicit feedback from stakeholders on the proposed draft Agrivoltaics Research and Demonstration Request for Proposals (RFP). NYSERDA has developed a draft Agrivoltaics Research and Demonstration RFP that intends to solicit proposals for agrivoltaic research and demonstration projects to better understand the costs, benefits, opportunities, and market potential for agrivoltaics in New York State. NYSERDA intends for the RFP to provide a “bridge” incentive for different types of agrivoltaic research and demonstration projects. The outcomes of these projects may inform future NYSERDA programs and policy(ies) related to solar development, such as NYSERDA’s Tier 1 Large-Scale Renewables (LSR) solicitations, the Build-Ready program, and the NY-Sun program. This RFI seeks comments on the draft of the RFP as a whole, and also highlights specific areas where feedback is requested.
