Funding Name: PCSGP Planning, Implementation, and Replication 2018-19
Eligible Applicants: local educational agencies, nonprofit organizations
Required Eligibility Criteria: A newly established or conversion charter school may apply for a planning and implementation (P/I) grant. If open, the school must not have been serving students prior to July 1, 2017. An applicant must be a nonprofit entity or LEA. Non-profit status at the time of application submission will be verified with the California Secretary of State. Individuals and for-profit entities will not meet eligibility requirements.
Funding Description: The Federal Public Charter Schools Grant Program (PCSGP) is a discretionary grant program administered by the Charter Schools Division. Grant applications are reviewed by peer evaluators and are awarded to nonprofit entities and local educational agencies to assist in the development to open high quality charter schools. The primary focus of the PCSGP is to create high quality charter schools that will provide public school choice to students.
