REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: Expanding the Scope of NREL’s National Wind Technology Center

The Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy’s (EERE) Wind Energy Technologies Office issued a Request for Information (RFI) to gain input regarding infrastructure or equipment investments that would enable expanded energy research and development opportunities at the National Wind Technology Center.

The vision of this EERE-wide initiative is to enable the facility to transition from its focus on wind to a broader mix of energy research and development opportunities, including energy storage and grid integration. Specific areas of interest include hydrogen fuel cells, advanced manufacturing, solar, grid integration and storage, marine hydrokinetic, hydropower, geothermal, and hybrid energy technologies.

View the RFI here and respond to WindEnergyRFI@ee.doe.gov no later than 5:00 p.m. EST on August 27, 2018.
