Air District’s 2019 Charge! Program

The Air District’s 2019 Charge! Program launches on Thursday, October 25, 2018.

The Charge! Program offers grant funding to offset the cost of purchasing and installing new publicly available charging stations at qualifying facilities within the Air District’s jurisdiction. Charge! strives to rapidly expand access to electric vehicle, or EV, charging stations to accelerate adoption of EVs in the Bay Area.

Applicants to the Charge! Program are required to attend a pre-application webinar prior to submitting an application. Upcoming webinars are scheduled for:

  • Thursday, October 25, 2018, 10AM – 11AM (Register)

  • Thursday, November 29, 2018, 1PM – 2PM (Register)

  • Tuesday, December 11, 2018, 10AM – 11AM (Register)

  • Tuesday, January 8, 2019, 1PM – 2PM (Register)

For 2019, $5 million is allocated to this program, and awards are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications are only accepted online and can be accessed through the Charge! Program web page starting October 25, 2018. Both public and private entities are eligible to apply.
