The Sustainable Agricultural Lands Conservation (SALC) Program utilizes Cap-and-Trade proceeds to protect agricultural lands on the outskirts of cities from development. SALC easement applicants interested in submitting an application are required to submit a pre-proposal by Wednesday, April 17.
The final application deadline for all both easement and planning grant applicants is Friday, September 13
The SALC Program protects at-risk agricultural lands from sprawl development in order to promote growth within existing jurisdictions, ensure open space remains available, and support a healthy agricultural economy. SALC is one of the many California Investments programs. For more information about these investments, visit: caclimatenvestments.ca.gov
