Treasury expects to award up to
$66 million in competitive grants!
The U.S. Department of Treasury recently released a Notice of Funding Availability for a social impact program open to local governments and their partners. The Social Impact Partnership to Pay for Results Act (SIPPRA) seeks proposals to achieve outcomes such as increased employment among chronically unemployed populations, increased financial stability of low-income families, improved educational outcomes, improved early childhood development, improved health, reduced recidivism, and more.
The federal government will pay for a project only if predetermined project outcomes have been met and validated by an independent evaluator, a system called a “pay for results partnership.” Congress appropriated $100 million for the SIPPRA program to implement “Social Impact Partnership Demonstration Projects” and feasibility studies to prepare for those projects. The SIPPRA program is largely administered by the Department of the Treasury (Treasury).
Applications are due April 22 and all potential applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a Notice of Intent to Apply to SIPPRA@treasury.gov by April 8. Learn more>>
