Biomass Initiatives in California: Preventing Wildfires/Innovative Uses for Excess Vegetation
California Forward (CA FWD) posted an article today outlining a cross agency strategy in the State of California to fund projects that will help to clean up forests and put the excess vegetation to use advancing new industries and technologies.

IBank Climate Catalyst Program
Description:
The Climate Catalyst Revolving Loan Fund is designed to:
Jumpstart critical climate solutions through flexible, low-cost credit and credit support.
Help bridge the financing gap that currently prevents these advanced technologies from scaling into the marketplace.
Mobilize public and private finance for shovel-ready projects that are stuck in the deployment phase.
Accelerate the speed and scale at which technologically proven, critical climate solutions are deployed.
Eligibility:
The program is open to both private- and public-sector applicants.
Total amount available: $47M (2021-2022 Budget)
"This month, the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research is finalizing contracts with five regional groups to develop solutions to these feedstock supply hurdles. In all, $2.5 million will go to these groups, which include local governments and resource conservation districts. The funding was provided through an early action budget allocation for the 2020-2021 budget year."
