Public Land Cleanup and Remediation
Description:
CDFW will provide funding to implement the cleanup and remediation of illicit cannabis cultivation impacts on qualified public lands. Cleanup and remediation proposals should focus on the severe impacts of illicit cannabis operations. This includes, but is not limited to: unlawful water diversions for irrigation, conversion of lands, poaching, and use of prohibited herbicides, rodenticides, and other environmental contaminants that are severely impacting California's fish and wildlife.
Eligibility:
Public agencies (federal, state, local, California Public Universities, special district); Nonprofit organizations qualified to do business in California and qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of Title 26 of the United States Code; and California Native American tribes, as that term is defined in Public Resources Code Section 21073.
