Collaborative Reform Initiative for Technical Assistance Center offers an excellent COVID-19 Library
The COPS Office Collaborative Reform Initiative for Technical Assistance Center (CRI-TAC) is rapidly responding to the needs of the field. Since the launch of the COVID-19 Library of Resources, we have uploaded more than 110 resources to the searchable directory. This library of agency policies, standard operating procedures, fact sheets, press releases, special orders, training documents, and other COVID-19–related materials allows law enforcement to share important guidance with one another on issues such as risk mitigation, communication, and officer safety. We encourage you to check the COVID-19 Library of Resources regularly to find resources by the field, for the field. If you have a resource you want to share with the field, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
CRI-TAC is actively developing resources and tools to help law enforcement respond to COVID-19. One upcoming resource is a webinar (click to register) hosted by CRI-TAC partner the National Sheriffs’ Association on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. EDT on “The Stafford Act and Other COVID-19 Funding Resources.” As further resources are developed, they will be added to the COVID-19 Library of Resources.
In addition, CRI-TAC is tracking and documenting the impact of COVID-19 on local, state, territorial, campus, and tribal law enforcement including crime, officer safety, officer stress, equipment needs, and other public safety issues. We want to hear from you. If you have a story to share, please email email@example.com.
If you have a direct technical assistance need as a result of COVID-19, please reach out to CRI-TAC. CRI-TAC can offer short-term, remote technical assistance for agencies that need expert assistance from others in the field.
