NY Clean Neighborhoods Challenge (PON 4743)

Due Date: 08/24/2021 (Round 1)

Description The Clean Neighborhoods Challenge aims to reduce local air pollution in disadvantaged communities through the introduction or expansion of electric and active transportation modes, which could be paired with activities that enable a reduction in polluting vehicle traffic. The most successful solutions will take an integrated approach that enables immediate and long-term air pollution reductions, demonstrates clear potential for replication and scale, and improves quality of life in the neighborhood. NYSERDA will award up to five $100,000 planning grants under Phase One and up to three $10 million grand prizes under Phase Two. The Clean Neighborhoods Challenge is part of the New York Clean Transportation Prizes program, which is administered by NYSERDA, in partnership with the New York State Department of Public Service and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. The program is part of an $85 million commitment through New York’s EV Make Ready program to accelerate the transition to a clean transportation future. Application Submission
