Deadline: August 5, 2020 (Letters of Inquiry)
Established in 1996, the Sisters Health Foundation continues the work and expands the health ministry of the Congregation of St. Joseph through its support for efforts that promote and address healthy eating, active living; thriving neighborhoods; and mental health and addiction in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
To that end, the foundation is accepting Letters of Inquiry for its Responsive Grants Program, which supports organizations located in its geographical service area in West Virginia and Ohio. Organizations can apply for project, capacity building, equipment or technology, small capital projects, or general operating support.
To be eligible, applicants must be recognized as tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or be a public institution. In addition, projects must positively impact residents in one or more counties of the foundation's service areas, including Calhoun, Jackson, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Tyler, Wirt, and Wood counties in West Virginia and Athens, Meigs, and Washington counties in Ohio.
Letters of Inquiry must be received no later than August 5. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal by September 9, 2020.
For complete program guidelines, an FAQ, information about previous grant recipients, and application procedures, see the Sisters Health Foundation website.
