Important update to the River Parkways Guidelines. The following has been added pursuant to Senate Bill 5, Chapter 7:
Unless the project has been identified as serving a disadvantaged community, an entity that receives an award shall be required to provide a match of 20 percent.
Also, as a reminder, it is not too late to RSVP for the workshops happening this week.
CALIFORNIA RIVER PARKWAYS GRANT PROGRAM
***CONCEPT PROPOSAL SOLICITATION***
The California Natural Resources Agency (Agency) will be accepting concept proposals for the California River Parkways (RP) grant program August 15, 2018 through September 27, 2018. Awards for River Parkways projects in the approximate amount of $7.0 million will be funded by Proposition 68 for purposes of the California River Parkways Act of 2004.
All concepts must be submitted via the System for Online Application Review (SOAR) https://soar.resources.ca.gov/ by September 27, 2018. Instructions for SOAR can be found at: http://resources.ca.gov/grants/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/SOAR_UserManual.pdf.
SOAR is NOT compatible with Macs or Mozilla Firefox. Use internet explorer on a PC only. Once the concept proposal has been submitted electronically, the process is complete, and no hardcopy is required.
Agency anticipates notifying entities by October 31, 2018 if their proposal has been selected to further compete by submitting a full application. Applicable deadline information for the full application will be provided at the time of notification.
