Program: Smart and Connected Communities (S&CC)
Summary: The purpose of this program is to accelerate the creation of the scientific and engineering foundations that will enable smart and connected communities to bring about new levels of economic opportunity and growth, safety and security, health and wellness, and overall quality of life. Projects will achieve this through integrative research projects that pair advances in technological and social dimensions with meaningful community engagement. This program is in response to innovations that have allowed community residents and their surrounding environments to be increasingly connected through rapidly changing intelligent technologies. These innovations and the transformations they bring offer great promise for improving well-being and prosperity.
Eligibility: Local Government, Academic Institutions, Consortia, Non Profits, Private Sector, State Government
Estimated funds: $19,250,000
Award ceiling: $750,000
Deadline: December 11, 2018
