National Fish and Wildlife Foundation: National Coastal Resilience Fund The National Coastal Resilience Fund, an initiative of the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, plans to award approximately $29 million in grants to create, expand, and restore natural systems in areas that will both increase protection for communities from coastal storms, sea- and lake-level changes, inundation, and coastal erosion while also improving valuable habitats for fish and wildlife species. The Fund will invest in projects in three focus areas: Project Preliminary Design and Site Assessment, Project Final Design and Permitting, and Project Restoration and Monitoring. Eligible projects must be located within the coastal areas of U.S. coastal states, including the Great Lakes states, and territories. Pre-proposals are due on May 20, 2019; the deadline for invited full proposals is July 22, 2019. Visit the Foundation’s website to review the 2019 Request for Proposals.
