EERE SBIR/STTR Updates

We are pleased to provide you with the following updates from the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program:

  • FY 2020 Phase I Release 2 Topics: The SBIR/STTR Topics were issued on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. The Topics document is accessible here, and includes updates made between Topic issuance and FOA release. This year’s Topics cover key agency priorities such as critical materials, energy storage, grid integration, water security, cybersecurity, and the circular economy including four vehicle-related topics. 

  • FY 2020 Phase I Release 2 Topics Webinar: Join us on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 for the Topics Webinar. Registration information is posted here. This is your opportunity to ask the DOE program managers questions about EERE Topics, so don't forget to submit your question(s) when you register for the webinar.

  • FY 2020 Phase I Release 2 FOA: The Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is scheduled for release on Monday, December 16, 2019. Once posted, the FOA document will be accessible here.

  • FY 2020 Phase I, Release 2 FOA Webinar: The FOA Webinar is scheduled to take place on Friday, December 20, 2019. Registration information will be posted here. The webinar will cover:

    • Federal SBIR/STTR Programs

    • DOE SBIR/STTR Technology Areas

    • DOE SBIR/STTR Application and Award Process as it relates to the FY20 Phase I Release 2 FOA

    • Questions & Answers
