The California Strategic Growth Council (SGC), California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD), and California Air Resources Board (CARB) are proud to share the Final Guidelines for Round 7 of the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) program, pending adoption from SGC Council at the December 15th Council meeting.
Final Round 7 AHSC Guidelines, along with a Summary of Key Changes are available on the December 15th Council Meeting Materials page. Once adopted on December 15th, they will also be available on the AHSC Guidelines webpage. The Final AHSC Benefits Calculator Tool, Final Quantification Methodology, and Final User Guide will be released soon after Final Guidelines have been adopted and will also be available via the AHSC Guidelines webpage.
The Round 7 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) will be released in January 2023, with an estimated $750 million available for Round 7.
Technical Assistance Availability
If you are planning on submitting a project for AHSC Round 7, then SGC invites you to fill out our Direct TA Survey. We will be accepting submissions through January 20, 2023. While we will be reviewing on an ongoing basis, it is highly recommended to submit as soon as possible so that there is sufficient time to help prepare the application.
SGC Staff will assess the survey information and allocate Technical Assistance (TA) resources according to the following criteria:
· Access to resources (i.e. whether the applicant is accessing other TA resources, the value that TA resources can bring, etc.)
· Disadvantaged, low-income, and/or tribal community (i.e. CalEnviroScreen DAC designations)
· Need (i.e. assistance and services needed to submit a competitive application)
· Project viability & AHSC threshold requirements
· Geographic/regional diversity
