Background:
This funding is from the Affordable Housing Bond Act Trust Fund of 2018 and provides grants to local public agencies or nonprofits to assist individual households through deferred-payment loans. Activities include: first-time homebuyer mortgage assistance, owner-occupied rehabilitation (including reconstruction and rehabilitation of manufactured homes not on a permanent foundation), technical assistance for self-help housing projects and shared housing programs, accessory dwelling units (ADUs) and junior accessory dwelling units (JADUs) assistance (including construction, repair, reconstruction, or rehabilitation), and homeownership development projects.
