Description:

WHAT: The webinar will focus on:

• An overview of FEMA's upcoming Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) funding program and the State of California's priorities.

• Information on nature-based solutions for hazard mitigation and examples; and

• Details on the BRIC subapplication processes and best practices.

WHO: This webinar is designed for California partners interested in developing nature-based solutions for mitigating hazards like flood, wildfire, and drought, which could include natural resource managers and other leaders at local governments (cities, townships, counties, special districts), state agencies, federally recognized tribal governments, and other partners, including land trusts and conservation NGOs. Note: NGOs are not eligible to apply for BRIC funding directly, but may partner with eligible entities to advance projects.

WHEN: Monday, August 29th from 1 :00 PM - 2:30 PM

WHERE: The webinar will be held virtually on Microsoft Teams. By registering, you will also receive a calendar invite from the California Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) before the webinar.
