Grant Management Associates Crosses $1 Billion in Grant Awards!

Durham, California – Grant Management Associates (GMA) crossed the $1 billion threshold in total grant funds raised for its clients today, according to Kristin Cooper, founder and CEO of GMA. www.grantmanagementassoc.com

I am thrilled that GMA has crossed this important milestone in total grant funds raised for our clients. What put us over the $1 billion mark are three FEMA grant wins for Adventist Health hospitals located in Simi Valley, Los Angeles and St. Helena, California. In addition to the significant FEMA award, we also won a $10 million research grant for Clemson University,” Kristin said.

A rural business based in the Chico/Durham area of California, GMA is federally recognized as a woman-owned, State Certified Small Business founded in 2009. GMA has over two hundred and fifty clients, including Tesla, Berkshire Hathaway and the City of Los Angeles, with some thirty-two grant writers nationwide. GMA started in 2010 with four key associates, we now have 38 associates nationwide.

GMA has written grants for clients located on every continent except Antarctica and last year we opened an EU office in Spain,” said Ed Ober, longtime Chief Operations Officer for GMA. GMA’s largest single grant win is over $146 million.

In addition, “Grant Management Associates has been a long-time partner and provider to CALSTART of grant services and helped to win over $100 million in awards.” said Jasna Tomic, Ph.D. and Vice President at CALSTART. “One of GMA’s most notable grant wins for CALSTART was the 2021 Federal Transit Administrations Research to Practice (R2P) Initiative. CALSTART was selected to administer the program with two other partners to identify and promote FTA’s most promising research to transit agencies,” Dr. Tomic noted. CALSTART is a national nonprofit whose model for innovative transportation change has proven effective, time and again, since its founding in 1992. GMA has been instrumental in helping them to be successful in implementing productive programs with more than 210+ members, from start-ups to Fortune 100 firms.

GMA has won over thirty major grants involving electric vehicle deployment with another anchor client, Charge Point. Charge Point continues to be a strong partner with GMA, accumulating steady wins since 2010. ChargePoint is an American electric vehicle infrastructure company based in Campbell, California, and operates the largest online network of independently owned EV charging stations that deploy new technological advances every year.

GMA works in many different sectors, with expertise in energy, transportation, workforce development, infrastructure / manufacturing, agriculture, broadband and many other areas. Service areas include funding research, government loan packages and fiscal grant management and compliance consulting. GMA is developing new sector expertise in the medical arena and with affordable housing grant applications.
