Just Released: No Place Like Home program Amended 2020 Guidelines
The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) is pleased to announce the release of the Amended 2020 Guidelines, Round 3 Competitive Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA), and Amended Noncompetitive NOFA the for the No Place Like Home (NPLH) program.

The ability for Alternative Process Counties to disperse Capitalized Operating Subsidy Reserve as grants
Applications for the Round 3 Competitive NOFA are due January 19, 2021

Amended 2018 Noncompetitive NOFA
Changes to the Amended Noncompetitive NOFA include:
An addition of an extension application request form for projects proposing the use of noncompetitive allocation funds
The amendments from the amended guidelines
Background: The No Place Like Home program provides funding for the development of permanent supportive rental housing for people living with a serious mental illness who are homeless, chronically homeless, or at-risk of chronic homelessness. The funds may be used to acquire, design, construct, rehabilitate, or preserve permanent supportive housing, which may include a capitalized operating subsidy reserve.
