Recycling Market Development Grant
Description:
MPCA is seeking applications for grant funding of projects that will build lasting capacity to support recycling markets in Minnesota. The goal is to increase recycling feedstock value, increase end market capacity, divert recyclable materials from disposal, and create jobs in Minnesota.
Projects using any type of recyclable material will be considered. Priority projects include uses of:
Paper: mixed paper, news, old corrugated cardboard (OCC), and sorted office
Glass: includes commercial and residential glass, windshield glass, and window/door glass
Plastic: polyethylene terephthalate (PET), high density polyethylene (HDPE) or polypropylene (PP),
Plastic film: includes retail bag film, pallet wrap film, ag plastic and boat wrap
Textiles
Finished compost derived from source-separated organics, but excludes the collection or processing of organic material.
Eligibility:
Businesses, economic development, non-profit organizations; colleges, universities, and local governmental units located in Minnesota.
