Description:

The Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) intends to issue, on behalf of the industrial Efficiency and Decarbonization Office, a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA)entitled “Decarbonization of Water Resource Recovery Facilities (D-WRRF)”.

The purpose of this announcement is to stimulate RD&D to decarbonize the entire life cycle of Water Resource Recovery Facilities (WRRFs), formerly known as Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs). It targets both individual unit processes at earlier stages of technological development, and entire treatment trains at higher levels of technological readiness.
