State of California 2021-2022 Annual Action Plan Amendment Summary

The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) released an amendment for the 2021-2022 Annual Action Plan that will affect some funding announcements and opportunities.

The amendment updates are summarized as follows:

· Allow for a Notice of Funding Availability with more than one year’s allocation, and competitive or over the counter awards.

· Disassociate the maximum-per-unit-subsidy for National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF) from the No Place Like Home program per-unit-subsidy. Actual per-unit-subsidy amounts for NHTF will be found in the NOFA.

· Allow previous awardees to apply for the new per-unit-subsidy limits in an over-the-counter process.

· Establish a tribal set-aside.
