The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) is hosting a Reconnecting Communities Pilot Program (RCP) - Benefit Cost Analysis (BCA) webinar.
This webinar will cover departmental guidance for BCA as it relates to the RCP discretionary grant program application. In addition to a brief overview of the RCP Program, the webinar will include a presentation of project-specific BCA examples from the Office of the Chief Economist. BCA is required for Capital Construction applications for the RCP program.
The RCP discretionary grant program is the first-ever program to help reconnect communities that were previously cut off from economic opportunities by transportation infrastructure. Funding supports planning grants and capital construction grants, as well as technical assistance, to restore community connectivity through the removal, retrofit, mitigation, or replacement of eligible transportation infrastructure facilities. This overview webinar is open to the public and targeted for interested applicants who may be preparing a BCA for a project eligible for capital construction grants.
