Regional Climate Collaboratives Program
Description:
The California Strategic Growth Council (SGC) invites Pre-Proposals for Round 1 of the Regional Climate Collaboratives Program (RCC). This new capacity building grant program funds community-rooted and cross-sectoral partners to develop the processes, plans, and projects that will drive and sustain climate action in their communities. In this first round, SGC has $8.35 million available for grant awards and applicants have flexibility in requesting their funding amount with the range of $500,000- $1750,000.
Eligibility:
Multiple partners will form a collaborative and submit a single application based on a shared vision.
Eligible applicants for RCC include, but are not limited to, the following:
• California Native American Tribes
• Community-based organizations
• Foundations
• Joint-powers authorities
• Local governments
• Nonprofit organizations
• Small businesses
• Other organizations with a history of community-based outreach and technical assistance.
