Description:
A competitive solicitation for electric charging infrastructure for heavy- and medium-duty vehicles and equipment is now open. Up to $30 million is available for the installation of new - or the expansion of existing - public and private electric charging stations.
At least 80 percent of the total funds will be awarded to projects that reduce emissions in priority communities. Priority communities include communities that have been identified through the AB617 process, i.e., West Oakland and East Oakland in Alameda County, Richmond/San Pablo in Contra Costa County, and Bayview-Hunters Point in San Francisco, and Disadvantaged Communities (DAC) and Low-Income Communities (LIC).
Eligibility:
This solicitation will only fund projects that procure new, permanent, electric battery-charging infrastructure that supports heavy- and medium-duty vehicles, school buses, and off-road, marine, and locomotive equipment. See the solicitation guidance for details on eligibility.
