Description:
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is managing Connecticut’s share of the NEVI formula funding and plans to work closely with different state agencies and stakeholders to rollout a program that creates a convenient, reliable fast charging network across the state.
The initial focus of this funding, Phase 1, is for the state to strategically deploy Direct Current Fast Charging (DCFC) along designated Alternative Fuel Corridors (AFCs), to help build out the national electric AFC network. Once Connecticut’s AFC network is “fully built out” and meets FHWA criteria, the state may use NEVI Formula Program funds for EV charging infrastructure on any public road or other publicly accessible location.
