Collaborative Reform Initiative (CRI) Program

Description:

The Collaborative Reform Initiative (CRI) Program encompasses three components offering expert services to state, local, territorial, and tribal law enforcement agencies, ranging in scope and complexity at the voluntary request of agencies. This continuum of services is designed to build trust between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve; improve operational efficiencies and effectiveness; enhance officer safety and wellness; and develop and disseminate evidence-based, promising, and innovative public safety practices.

The three programs are:

  • Collaborative Reform Initiative Technical Assistance Center (CRI-TAC)

  • Critical Response

  • Organizational Assessment

Eligibility:

For Profit (Commercial) Organizations

Non-profit Organizations

Institutions of Higher Education

Award Details:

There is approximately $5.75 million in funding available through the FY 2023 CRI solicitation. Each award is one year (12 months) in duration. The COPS Office is looking to make the following two competitive awards:

  • Organizational Assessment - $3,500,000

  • Critical Response - $2,250,000

There is no local match.
