As part of the federal Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has taken steps to design a Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund. Competitive grants will be issued through the fund to support clean energy investments. One component of this is a Zero-Emissions Technology Fund Competition, also referred to as “Solar for All.”
Washington state is eligible to apply for these competitive grants, which are expected to be announced this summer.
To best inform our state program approach and potential application for funding, we are requesting information and ideas from the public to better understand what is needed for low-income Washingtonians to benefit from solar.
