The Rural-Business Cooperative Service (the Agency) published a notice of solicitation of applications (NOSA) in the Federal Register on December 16, 2022, entitled, ‘‘Notice of Solicitation of Applications for the Rural Energy for America Program for Fiscal Year 2023,” to allow potential applicants time to submit applications for financial assistance under the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) for fiscal year (FY) 2023. The REAP program helps agricultural producers and rural small businesses reduce energy costs and consumption and helps meet the Nation’s critical energy needs.
We are accepting applications for Renewable Energy Systems (RES), Energy Efficiency Improvements (EEI), and Energy Efficient Equipment Systems (EEE) Grants of $20,000 or Less and Loan/Grant of $20,000 and applications for Unrestricted Grants or Loan/Unrestricted Grant Combo Applications are due by 4:30 p.m. March 31, 2023.

Increase to the maximum grant thresholds:
Renewable Energy Systems (RES) - $1,000,000
Energy Efficiency (EEI &EEE) - $500,000
