Open Solicitations:

Research and Education:

NOAA Ocean Exploration is soliciting proposals for ocean exploration-related projects under two themes: Ocean Exploration and Maritime Heritage.

Revolutionizing Engineering Departments (hereinafter referred to as RED) is designed to build upon previous efforts in engineering education research.

Energy and Environment:

Specifically, this FOA will help decarbonize the energy system and high-temperature industrial processes in the United States through innovation and advancement in CSP technologies, including solar collectors, supercritical carbon dioxide (sCO2) power cycles, and high-temperature solar receivers and reactors.

The Confronting Hazards, Impacts and Risks for a Resilient Planet Program (CHIRRP) invites projects focusing on innovative and transformative research that advances Earth system hazard knowledge and risk mitigation in partnership with affected communities.

Specifically, this funding opportunity is soliciting research projects that involve substantial engagement with communities, community-based organizations, and/or Tribes to address both of the following priorities: 1) Methods and tools for data integration and analysis to characterize community exposures to air pollution in underserved communities; and 2) Effective communication of air quality information to communities and decision makers to support actions to address air pollution concerns in underserved communities.

The Office of Carbon Management’s mission is to facilitate a just and environmentally sustainable transition toward a net-zero carbon economy. This mission focuses on the capture, storage, and containment of carbon dioxide.

Community Development:

The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is the only Federally sponsored employment and training program specifically targeting low-income older individuals who seek to enter or re-enter the workforce.

The Choice Neighborhoods program focuses on the redevelopment of severely distressed public housing and/or HUD-assisted housing through a comprehensive approach to neighborhood transformation.

As directed by Congress, SSP makes federal funds available to enable non-federal entities to off-set allowable costs incurred for services associated with noncitizen migrants recently encountered and released by DHS.

The Process and Technology Improvement Grant (PTIG) program supports efforts by state agencies and their community-based and faith-based partners to develop and implement projects that use technology to improve the quality and efficiency of SNAP application and eligibility determination systems.

The purpose of this NOFO is to fund research at one or more research Centers of Excellence (Centers or COEs, COE when singular) at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The Centers will conduct research projects on topics of strategic interest to HUD and produce research that provides evidence-based solutions to housing, community development, economic development, or built environment challenges in underserved communities.

Agriculture and Commerce:

This opportunity is available to U.S. entities to provide funding for projects that provide commodity samples to potential foreign importers to promote a better understanding and appreciation for the high quality of U.S. agricultural commodities.

This opportunity is available to U.S. entities to provide funding for projects that seek to remove, resolve, or mitigate existing or potential sanitary, phytosanitary, or technical barriers that prohibit or threaten the export of U.S. specialty crops.

The primary objective of the RCDG program is to improve the economic condition of rural areas by assisting individuals or entities in the startup, expansion or operational improvement of rural cooperatives and other business entities.

This opportunity is available to U.S. entities to develop, maintain, or expand markets for exports of United States agricultural commodities and to promote cooperation and exchange of information between agricultural institutions and agribusinesses in the United States and emerging markets.
