Open Solicitations:
Research, Education, & Technology:
At its core, FIRE represents a departure from traditional science programs. It is structured as a framework comprised of Collaboratives with the purpose of bridging the gap between foundational science and practical application. These Collaboratives are envisioned as dynamic hubs of innovation, driving advancements in fusion energy research in collaboration with both public and private entities.
The goal of the Exchange is to build collaboration and accelerate market transformation for larger building energy retrofits through knowledge sharing, training, peer to peer interaction, and targeted research.
Energy and Transportation:
Since the Agency’s inception in 2009, the three-year periodic cycle of ARPA-E OPEN programs have served as an opportunity to advance transformative energy breakthroughs in critical areas that fall outside the scope of its technology-focused programs.
The DOE Office of Technology Transitions (OTT), in collaboration with the OCED, FECM, and EERE, announced the reopening of five voucher opportunities (“VOs”) to accelerate clean energy technology adoption and launch two new VOs with $15 million in available funding to support manufacturers via the Voucher Program.
Funding is for the installation and operation of permanent electric infrastructure that will spur the adoption of zero-emission vehicles and equipment in the Bay Area, expedite air quality improvements and the transition to zero-emission in Priority Communities, and be placed into service by early 2027.
Community Development:
The National Park Service’s (NPS) History of Equal Rights Grant Program (HER) will preserve sites related to the struggle of all Americans to achieve equal rights.
The purpose of this Funding Opportunity is to invite proposals to provide quality training and counseling to veteran small business owners and entrepreneurs. The program is designed to assist qualified private organizations, nonprofit organizations, and public (including Tribal) intermediary organizations, proposing to carry out financial and technical assistance programs to improve housing, community facilities, and community and economic development projects in rural areas.
Agriculture:
The purpose of the Behind the Tray – Food Science for School Meals cooperative agreement is to develop and implement a week-long in-person science-based food safety education training program.
The purpose of the OCCSP awards is to defray the costs of receiving and maintaining organic certification.
The purpose of the 2024 Soil Survey Cooperative Research Proposals is to promote research that informs and improves soil survey. The work should have national or broad regional application to fill gaps in soil survey databases, provide new approaches to collecting or interpreting soil survey data, and/or address emerging issues in the national research priority areas.
Request(s) For Information:
The purpose of this Request for Information is to gather information on needed research to reduce costs and decrease environmental impacts for installation and operations and maintenance (O&M) of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on uneven terrain.
