FY 2021-2022 Public Land Cleanup and Remediation
Description:
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is seeking high quality grant proposals for the cleanup and remediation of environmental damage in watersheds affected by cannabis cultivation on qualified public lands, defined below. These grants are provided through the Environmental Restoration and Protection Account pursuant to Revenue and Taxation Code section 34019(f)(2)(A). This Proposal Solicitation Notice (Solicitation) for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 focuses on cleanup and remediation projects. This Solicitation addresses priorities that will contribute to the objectives of the State of California’s Revenue and Taxation code Section 34019(f)(2)(A) as well as CDFW’s mission to manage California’s diverse fish, wildlife, and plant resources and the habitats upon which they depend, for their ecological values and for their use and enjoyment by the public. CDFW will award these funds through a competitive process administered by the Cannabis Restoration Grant Program (CRGP). All qualified, eligible entities are encouraged to submit grant proposals.
Eligibility:
Eligibility under this Solicitation is defined by Fish and Game Code Section §1501.5(b). Eligible entities include: federal, state, and local public agencies and institutions within California (including public universities); nonprofit organizations qualified to do business in California and qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of Title 26 of the United States Code; and California Native American tribes as defined in the Public Resources Code section 21073. Other entities that are not eligible for funding under this Solicitation may work as subcontractors for an eligible applicant.
