Open Solicitations:

Agriculture and Community Development:

The Building Electrification and Transformation Accelerator (BETA): Commercial Buildings Pilot is a MassCEC initiative that seeks to surface and prove out the technical, implementation, and financial models to serve as the basis for electrification and decarbonization of the commercial buildings sector.

The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) has released Amendment #1 for the 2023 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). The original NOFA, released September 2023, was for approximately $19 million in federal funds for the CDBG program only for applications from projects that remain on the wait list established for Over-the-Counter projects after the 2019-2020 NOFA.

The purpose of the Program is to support emerging Family Justice Centers (FJCs) to meet the criteria defined in California Penal Code § 13750.

The purpose is to support building or sustaining security enhancement projects that fall within the parameters of the Cal OES HSGP. Funds awarded under HSGP must be used to support statewide preparedness activities.

Training and Workforce Development:

The Scientific Exchange Program (SEP) leverages the latest developments in cross-cutting agricultural priorities, research, and technologies to educate a new generation of agricultural scientist to promote trade, trade policy, trade capacity building, and food security.

Department of Energy (DOE) announced $15 million in new funding for projects that will advance deployment of technologies critical to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector.

This funding opportunity seeks to fund the Southeast New England Program Technical Assistance Network (“The SNEP Network” or “The Network”) to provide regionally customized training, consultation, and other services to help municipalities, Tribes and other communities better assess and address critical environmental management needs, and ultimately build local capacity to develop and undertake environmental projects.

The Golden State Pathways Program Planning and Implementation Grant is set to provide local educational agencies with the resources to promote pathways in high-wage, high-skill, high-growth areas, including technology, health care, education, and climate-related fields.

Research and Education:

These grants fund storytelling installations or materials that authentically convey historically excluded communities’ perspectives and relationships to the outdoors and coast.

With this solicitation, the National Science Foundation's (NSF) Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) is continuing its support of research expansion for Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs).

Forecasted Opportunities:

These efforts are anticipated to accelerate cost reductions and commercial deployment of innovative methane emissions reduction technologies and advance the characterization and reduction of methane emissions through multi-scale, measurement-informed data collection and analysis that also support environmental justice.

The purpose of the Trade Corridor Enhancement Program is to provide funding for infrastructure improvements on federally designated Trade Corridors of National and Regional Significance, on California's portion of the National Highway Freight Network, as identified in California Freight Mobility Plan, and along other corridors that have a high volume of freight movement.

The primary objective of this program is to provide funding to counties, cities, districts, and regional transportation agencies in which voters have approved fees or taxes dedicated solely to transportation improvements or that have imposed fees, including uniform developer fees, dedicated solely to transportation improvements.

Requests for Information:

The California Energy Commission (CEC) is seeking feedback on a Draft Solicitation Concept for Retrofitting with Innovative Building Envelope Solutions to be issued through the Electric Program Investment Charge (EPIC) 2021-2025 Investment Plan.
